The mission is simple: To engage UX beginners with a first-of-its-kind UX lab that promotes Inclusive Design methods through seminars, projects, and community.
Inclusive Design is still a niche topic - specifically in User Experience Design and related fields. We hope Inclusive Design will be a design standard one day in the future. That's why Inclusion Lab targets UX beginners - the future of UX.
There is a gap in UX education when it comes to Inclusive Design. We're hoping to make strides in closing this gap by offering UX beginners a way to learn and practice Inclusive Design methods. Along the way, participants can count on the support of our community.
At the Inclusion Lab, you will learn Inclusive Design through 2-3 hour seminars held every couple of weeks. The seminars will cover a range of topics including Inclusive Design thinking, accessibility, diversity, equity and other inclusion-related topics. There will also be seminars covering strategy, communication, and leadership so you have the tools needed to be successful when implementing Inclusive Design methods.Explore Seminars
Join and collaborate with fellow UX beginners in group projects hosted by the Inclusion Lab. This will allow you to put your new Inclusive Design skills and principles into practice. In preparing ways for UX beginners to practice Inclusive Design principles, we discovered another problem we could solve: the difficulty in finding and pursuing a group project with fellow beginners. For this reason, our projects will be incredibly easy for people to join.
Inclusion Lab projects will provide everything you need to be successful including a project brief, role recommendations, as well as guidance and support from beginning to end. Inclusion Lab project topics will not only focus on Inclusive Design, but some may also focus on social impact and other mission-driven topics.
Inclusion Lab will connect you to an engaging Discord community where you can participate in seminar conversations, collaborate with your project group members, and get all the support you need as you learn Inclusive Design.Learn More
